Author's Pov:-
"Yes,"as soon as these letters rolled from Pravateshwar's mouth, causing Ayurvati's heart to sink to her stomach. Tears of sorrow and betrayal began to accumulate in her eyes, making her vision blurry. Before she could let out a cry, Pravateshwar continued, "Hum apni matrubhoomi se prem karte h aur samay aane par hum ek jeevan hi kya apne 100 jeevan bhi niochavar karna se sancoach nahi karenge"
"I love my motherland, and if the time comes to sacrifice my life for it, I would gladly offer not just one, but my hundred lives."
With pride gleaming in his eyes, he uttered those words, embodying the spirit of a true patriot.
Now, Ayurvati comprehended that the man she had married was a true patriot, someone willing to sacrifice his life for the betterment of his motherland. The sorrow she had carried moments ago, upon learning about her husband's affection for another, was replaced by pride.
She slowly stood from the bed and walked towards the couch on which Parvateshwar was seating seeing her moving towards him his body stiffened and he made more space for her bu shifting himself to the edge of the couch.
Rising from the bed with a deliberate poise, Ayurvati advanced towards Parvateshwar, who occupied the couch. As she neared him, his body instinctively tensed, yet he promptly adjusted, shifting to the couch's edge, creating ample space for her beside him.
Observing his nervousness around her, Ayurvati couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. It wasn't that she wasn't nervous herself, but in Parvateshwar's presence, an unfamiliar sense of trust began to blossom within her. She settled onto the couch, facing him, and with a smile, she spoke.
Ayurvati:-"Senapati ji ...Aap nischint rahiye ,hum aapke aur aapke kartavyon ke beech kabhi bhi badha nahi banenge."
She assured him. Parvateshwar looked towards her and in her eyes he was finding a hint of doubt or lie but failed to find any thing he only found honestly and truthfulness in her eyes.
With her assurance, Parvateshwar turned to her, scanning her eyes for any signs of doubt or deception. Yet, all he encountered was sincerity and truthfulness shining through her gaze, putting his concerns to rest.
He amazed to her understanding, like how fastly she understood him and assured her support to him and his work. Before marriage he was scared that his wife will be cause of the hurdles between him and his duties but now he is thankful to dadi sa for finding ayurvati who not only trusted him once but without any doubt she assured him also.
He marveled at her understanding, amazed by how quickly she grasped his feelings and promised her support. Before marriage, he worried his wife might interfere with his work, but now, he felt grateful to Dadi Sa for introducing him to Ayurvati. She not only trusted him from the beginning but also assured him of her unwavering support without hesitation.
"Aap apni ,apni Matrubhoomi ke parti ke kartavyon ka palan kare aur hame apke ardaranghi hone ke kartavyon ka palan karne ki anumati dijiye"
( You follow your duties for your motherland and please let me follow my duties as your wife..pls allow me for this)
She said respectfully and this time Parvateshwar could understand the underlying meaning of her appeal. He nodded his head in postive direction and said "As I said before I will Respect you as my wife from today onwards your respect is my respect...I will fulfill all my husband duties but please don't expect love from me"
" Yes I understood " Ayurvati said but she still couldn't comprehend why Parvateshwar is repeating same thing again and again that she should not expect love from him.
Keeping her thoughts aside, now she was feeling sleepy and tired due to all the wedding and it's rituals. A yawn escaped from her mouth.
Observing her fatigue, Parvateshwar rose from the couch and suggested, "You sleep on the bed, I'll take the couch."
To which Ayurvati replied, "No need to worry, Senapati Ji. I'll sleep on the couch, you take the bed."
Parvateshwar:-" No ,no you sleep on the bed I will be comfortable on couch"
Ayurvati:-"I know you will be comfortable Senapati ji but the couch won't be "
As she looked at him and indicating him that he won't be fitted in the couch.
Realising Ayurvati's joked on him , Parvateshwar didn't felt bad or insulted ,instead he felt brisky...as he understood that his little wifey had got some sassiness with humour.
Sighing he went to his bed and lied down and here Ayurvati lied on the couch with a pillow and duvet which Parvateshwar gave to her even before her request.
And As the night ascended sleep consumed our newly wed couples.
