Ch-2 Vivah

Pratapgarh was decorated as a Bride to celebrate the triumphant of their brave soldiers over the invaders.

The celebration in the aftermath of hard fought victory echoed through the halls of Pratapgarh with the resounding cheers of soldiers mingling with joyus laughter of the people. The streets were alive with festivities as the city rejoiced the triumph of their brave defenders.

Amidst the celebration, one person found himself in midst of tumultuous dilemma, his mind was swirling with confusion and uncertainty.

Parvateshwar- The senapati of Pratapgarh.

The inner turmoil of uncertainty which lied in the future was making him restless his mind was continuously repeating the same questions like " will she accept me?" "What kind of personality does she carry" "will she be ever stop me from serving my motherland ?" This questions whose answers lies in the future were creating havoc inside Parvateshwar in present.

To calm down his mind he went to his parents rooms. Once their lived his parents who used to love him a lot but due to some unfortunate situations they departed leaving him alone in this curel world. But still whenever Parvateshwar feels lonely he used to come to this room spend some time reminiscing the memories of his parents. Today was one such day ....

" Arrey Pathu tu yaha h mein tujhe kahan kahan dundh rahi thi " said his dadi sa who was literally huffing as if she had to run all over the place.

"Dadi sa app yaha ..baithiye " he made her sit on the bed and passed a glass of water "Yeh lijiye jal pi jiye" . Hurriedly gulping down the whole glass of water.

"Dadi Sa Mein yahi pe hu " he said assuring to his dadi sa.

"Mujhe bhi pata h ki tu yaha nahi hoga toh bhala Kahan hoga" she said by playfully pinching his nose.

" Tujhe pata h aaj Nalini aur Chandrasekhar ( Parvateshwar 's parents) bohut khush honge aakhir ab unka beta ab bada ho gaya h " vivah Kar raha h " she said with glossy eyes and dreamy smile as if she is seeing her son and her daughter in law happy faces.

Tears threaten to form in parvateshwar's eyes but he commanded them not to show up as it will make him weak and vulnerable.

He wipped the tears which now falling from eyes of his dadi sa and was about to say something but got interrupted by Varun who came running towards him.

"Bhaisa aap yaha h chaliye taiyaar nahi hona kya aapko ...KY Matlab vivah mein bhi inn hi vastr pehnkar baithenge ....Agar aap Essa so h Rahe h na toh rehne dijiye kyuki aap ko dekhkar bichari hamari bhabhi sa darr jayengi.." he joked. For which he got a spat on his head by Parvateshwar.

"Dadi ma dekhiye na bhaisa abhi bhi mujhe Kesse marr Rahe h ...rukiye abhi hamari bhabhi sa bhi aayegi na toh hum unse apki shikayat karenge" he thinned like a 5 year old child to Dadi sa.

"Tum dono Kab sudhroge aur tu apni bhabhi ko bhi esse hi satayega kya " said dadi sa again hitting Varun on the same spot.

Varun pouted in anger and said " app dono na rukiye bhabhi sa aayengi na toh woh hamari hi tarafdaari karengi".

"Inta bhabhi sa bhabhi sa Kar Raha Hai na ruk tujhe abhi Bhai sa koun h woh dikhata hu" saying this Parvateshwar ran behind Varun arround the room chasing him like a kids. Dadi sa was overwhelmed by seeing the childish nature of her grandson's ,who would say them that they are Chivilourus, valiant brave senapati and up senapati who won't hesitate to cut their enemies head ...and here this both are fighting like kids.

"Hey Ek ling ji mein bacho ko hamesha esse hi Kush rakhna ...inko kissi ki nazar na lage " she internally prayed.

" chalo chalo jaldi Karo mahurat ka Samay hogaya h ...Varun Pathu ko taiyaar hone mein madam karna thike " saying g this she stood up and walked towards the wedding hall to see further preparations.

Varun helped Parvateshwar in getting ready.

Parvateshwar, walked into the wedding hall, adorned in his regal groom attire, awaiting his summons to the mandap. Every fiber of his being exuded royalty, from the intricate jewels adorning his well-chiseled physique to the golden angvastra draped around his waist. The majestic shawl crafted by dadi sa added an extra layer of splendor to his royal appearance. With eyes sharp as swords and a jawline sculpted like a warrior's, his presence radiated a shine that could rival even the sun itself.

"Bilkul Mere Chandu ki tarah lag raha h " whispered his dadi and moved her hands in air and placed her knuckle on the sides of her forehead.

Following the instructions of the priest, he took his seat on the mandap.

The sacred chants and the flickering flames of the holy fire, the entire surroundings seemed imbued with divine blessings. Parvateshwar performed the rituals meticulously, following the instructions of the priest.

"Yagman abhi vadhu ko bulane ka samay aa gaya h " said the priest indicating the relatives of the bride.

Till now, Parvateshwar's stoic demeanor remained unchanged, it was evident that he was fulfilling his duties solely out of respect for his grandmother's wishes.

Until, the melodious sound of approaching anklets reached his ears, he couldn't help but lift his head in curiosity. His gaze fell upon a veiled figure, adorned in a resplendent royal violet attire with golden borders, slowly making her way towards him. With each step she took, Parvateshwar felt his heart skip a beat.He never felt this nervous even before going to the battle.

As the bride approached, her face hidden beneath the veil, Parvateshwar's hands trembled with nervousness, a sensation entirely foreign to him. With the assistance of two other girls, the bride was seated beside him, casting a veil of anticipation over the entire ceremony.

The urge to see her face was making into Parvateshwar as now he cursed himself for not seeing the portrait of his bride which his dadi sa had sent.

He even didn't knew her name or anything about her and now he would surely embarrass himself in front of his wife.

" Ab dulhe ko dulhan ki maang mein sindoor bharna h " the priest announced and handed sindoor to Parvateshwar to apply it on the hairline of the bride.

Parvateshwar tried his level best not to show his trembling hand while applying the vermillion.

Some girls from the bride side helped him by lifting up the bride's veil so that he could apply the vermillion.

Parvateshwar took a pinch of vermillion and spread it to her hair line and some amount of the vermillion fell on bride's nose. Symbolising that her husband will love her the most.

And then after completing all the rituals like pheras, exchanging garlands ..

Finally there Marriage was concluded.

Everyone was happy, Parvateshwar's father in law asked him to take care of his daughter and never make her cry.
